The voting was set to last three days, from Friday until Sunday, in order to avoid the crowds of people.

The president of the Central Electoral Commission, Ella Pamfilova, said for her part that using this means around 260 thousand people in Russia voted in advance and another 34 thousand citizens did so from 46 countries.

Up until July 1st, 108,145,648 voters in Russia and around 2,060,000 abroad were registered to participate in the elections.
