DPRK criticizes anti-popular and reactionary character of capitalism

Pyongyang, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) State newspaper of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Rodong Sinmun criticized today the anti-popular and reactionary character of capitalist society.

Capitalist society deprives the masses of the rights to creative work and existence, and imposes on them the corrupt culture and way of life of the bourgeoisie, it denounces.

The editorial points out that the aspiration and demand of the masses is to end the exploitation and oppression of man by man and to live and develop independently without submitting to any form of subjugation, but this is not achieved in capitalism.

According to the newspaper, the independent demands and rights of man are flagrantly violated there, and the exploited working masses lead a hellish life.

They are devices to satisfy the privileged interests of the ruling class, the article points out.

In addition, there is an impoverishment of spiritual and cultural life, it indicates.

True life and happiness of the popular masses are possible only in a socialist society, where all forms of privileged domination were eliminated and genuine freedom and rights of the independent being are guaranteed, it concludes.

Founded on November 1, 1945, Rodong Sinmun is the official newspaper of ruling Labor Party of Korea.
