Syrian army completes deployment in regained towns

Damascus, Sep 27 (Prensa Latina) The Syrian Army on Monday has completed the deployment of units in 10 towns in southern Dara'a province, whose control they recently regained.

These towns are Al-Shayara, Hit, Yalin, Sahem Golan, Mezerya, Yamla, Koya, Qusseir, Abdeen and Beit Arah, where hundreds of soldiers and security forces set points after the settlement process was completed, through which 616 armed men and fugitives were pardoned after the authorities voluntarily surrendered, the media informed.

Sapper units started demining and searching operations to fully ensure the recovery of services in the areas surrounding the mentioned towns.

The 10 newly regained communities are located in the Yarmouk River basin, a region of strategic importance due to its rich water resources and its location in the border triangle among Syria, Jordan and Israel.

A total of 16 towns in Dara’a have so far been liberated from terrorism thanks to the implementation of a reconciliation agreement through Russia, which stipulates the normalization of the status of the armed forces that have laid down their weapons, the departure of terrorists to northern Syria and the establishment of the State’s authority.
