On August 24th, during the International Military-Technical Forum, the Ministry of Defense signed a contract along with the company NPO Mashinostroyeniya company for the supply of the Tsirkon.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier that these missiles are capable of achieving speeds close to Mach 9 (about 10700 km/h or 6700 mph) and hitting targets at a distance of more than 1,000 kilometers.
