Cuba reported 4,793 Covid-19 cases, 45 deaths

Havana, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported Tuesday 4,793 new positive cases of the SARS-CoV-2 virus, which causes Covid-19, and 45 deaths due to complications associated with the disease.

In a televised press conference, the head of National Epidemiology, Francisco Duran, detailed that the country accumulates 900,512 diagnosed with this coronavirus since March 11, 2020 and 7,663 fatalities.

The day before, 33,290 samples were studied for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 and a total of 9,765,273 tests have been analyzed on the island.

He pointed out that 52,550 people are still admitted, including 27,296 suspects to Covid-19, 2,961 in epidemiological surveillance and 22,293 with the active virus.
