Daniel Ortega calls to end blockade against Cuba and Venezuela

Managua, Oct 5 (Prensa Latina) Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega called to end the blockade and the economic aggressions by the United States Government against Cuba and Venezuela.

Addressing a message to the nation on Monday for the anniversaries of the birth and death of National Hero Benjamin Zeledon (1867-1912), the president said that Cuba and Venezuela wish to work in peace to fight poverty and provide better living conditions for their peoples.

It is time, I say this to the president of the United States, it is time to end the blockade against Cuba, (?) the aggression against Venezuela and let these countries work in peace, the leader of the Sandinista National Liberation Front emphasized.

Ortega highlighted how Cuba is developing vaccines to fight Covid-19 and amid the world health crisis, it is taking solidarity with its brigades of doctors to several regions of the planet.
