The note released by Meliá this Thursday recalls that Cuba’s tourism recovery promises a multiplying effect on the national economy.

It mentions that the company had the opportunity to participate, along with other operators of the sector, in a meeting on the subject led by Cuban Prime Minister, Manuel Marrero.

Present at the meeting were also minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García; of the Food Industry, Manuel Sobrino; Agriculture, Gustavo Rodríguez; Health, José Ángel Portal; Transportation, Eduardo Rodríguez; and Industry, Eloy Álvarez, the statement emphasized.

The exchange brought confidence in the future development of operations, and once again proved the commitment of national authorities to this important activity, it was pointed out.

During the meeting held last Saturday at Plaza América Convention Center in Varadero beach, it was explained in detail how the various economic actors prepare during the de-escalation process.
