Present fuel rise is linked to an increased value of hydrocarbons on global market.

In the southern city of Sidon, cab drivers blocked al-Nejmeh square to protest against increased fuel price hike.

‘The situation is unbearable for us, because we depend on gasoline,’ one of protesters said.

The cab drivers also blocked the city’s coastal thoroughfare and the road in front of the al-Zaatari mosque.
