After communicating the findings to judge Fadi Akiki, who asked to close the file, the directors of the department question what steps Samir Geagea will take after failing to appear in court.

The TV reported that the Geagea process is in the hands of the military prosecutor’s office, but so far no summons to question him or a search or arrest warrant has been issued.

Geagea said that he will ignore the subpoena if Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah is not summoned to testify as well.

On October 14th, seven people were killed by snipers stationed on rooftops in Tayouneh.

The shots were fired on a demonstration organized by Hezbollah and the Amal movement to condemn the alleged politicization of Judge Tarek Bitar in the investigation into last year’s explosion in the port of Beirut.

Hezbollah and Amal accused the Lebanese Forces of attacking the march and later confessions from some 26 detainees confirmed that participation.
