The oppostion Sudanese Professionals Association reported that demonstrations broke out in different neighborhoods of this capital half an hour before plan, with the aim of marching to the city center.
Several countries, the UN and European Union urged security forces to avoid using violence against protesters, who are demanding the return to a civil government after it was overthrown on Monday by a coup headed by General Abdelfatah al Burhan.
For its part, the United Nations Special Mission in Sudan also called on demonstrators to behave peacefully to prevent clashes during protests.
However, since the day of the coup, there have been clashes between protesters and the riot police, with the aftermath of 11 deaths and over a hundred wounded people, according to opposition sources.
On october 25, General Al Burhan dissolved the transition bodies and declared a state of emergency in the country, after almost a month of discrepancies between soldiers and the civilian elements of the unity goverment due to a presumed coup conspiracy in September.
