The screening of audiovisuals for children made during the pandemic, the presentation of publications, pannels on the Latin American scene and other lectures are part of the program of the penultimate day of the festival, which ends on October 31.

According to its organizers, for the online call, the plays that need a direct interaction with audiences were chosen, and novelties such as plays for children and miniature theater shows were incorporated.

The festival is dedicated to the 90th birthday of Berta Martinez, the 80th anniversary of the play Electra Garrigo, written by Cuban playwright Virgilio Piñera, and the 60th anniversary of the speech “Words to intellectuals,” by Fidel Castro.

The Havana International Theater Festival has become a vital venue for creators from across the globe and a safe choice for the audiences that look for a varied, intelligent and entertaining offer.
