The deputy secretary general of the self-styled Lebanese Islamic Resistance, Naim Qassem, considered unfair the position adopted by the desert kingdom regarding declarations made by the Minister of Information George Kordahi.

According to Qassem, Kordahi was not wrong to consider the war in Yemen absurd and to say that the Houthi rebels are facing an aggression led by the Saudis, reported the online version of the Ad Diyyar newspaper.

Withdrawing ambassadors as Riyadh did responds to a military problem, assassination, fighting or a concrete aggression, but Lebanon has done nothing, and the pretext for that decision is based on opinions that are on everyone’s lips, he said. Anyone has the right to express his or her views on an armed conflict, he added, for, against or in favor or against.

Saudi Arabia violated diplomatic norms with its actions and disrespected the Foreign Ministry, the prime minister and the authorities of this country, he pointed out, by expelling the Lebanese ambassador from Riyadh, an insult to bilateral relations.
