Cuba reports 413 new cases and keeps Covid-19 under control

Havana, Nov 10 (Prensa Latina) Cuba today reported 413 positive cases of Covid-19, 54 less than the previous day, and four deaths associated with the pandemic, thus maintaining two months of control over the disease.

Since March 11, 2020, the country has registered 957,332 diagnosed cases and 8,274 fatalities, a lethality rate of 0.86 percent, according to a report published by the Ministry of Public Health (Minsap) on its website.

The medical institutions granted 552 discharges and with that figure the Caribbean island accumulates 946,615 (98.9 percent) recovered patients.

Two thousand 386 people remain hospitalized, 2,316 of them with stable clinical evolution, while 70 citizens, 20 critical and 50 serious, are being treated in intensive care, the Minsap added.

The provinces of Camaguey, Holguín and Sancti Spíritus, with 92, 84 and 55 cases, respectively, are the main focus of attention of the authorities, while below 20 are Cienfuegos and Guantánamo (18), Pinar del Río (17), Granma (11), Ciego de Avila (10), Matanzas (nine), Artemisa (seven) and Mayabeque (four).

Cuba’s Health Minister, José Ángel Portal, urged the day before to multiply responsibility in the new moment of the country with the resumption of many daily activities that had been halted some time ago.

Up to November the region the Americas reported 95. 531 615 confirmed cases with Covid-19 (1100 51 more), 38 percent of the total number of cases confirmed in the world.
