During the virtual and face-to-face meeting that reviewed the work of that organization during 2021, the participants denounced the escalation of aggressions from Washington and its interference in the internal affairs of the Caribbean nation.
According to the Cuban ambassador to Nursultan, Emilio Pevida, the exchange focused on the fight against the criminal economic, commercial and financial blockade of the United States towards the island and the coordination of the next day of solidarity with Cuba.
They also discussed the importance of activism in social networks in defense of the Revolution and for an objective dissemination of the Cuban reality, as well as the participation of the new generations in the association’s activities, he explained.
Erkin I. Sarkenov, president of the Association of Friendship with Cuba, expressed the group’s rejection of the U.S. actions and those of its acolytes against the country and stressed that these constitute a flagrant violation of the norms of International Law and a threat to peace for the entire Latin American and Caribbean region.
Havana’s representative in Nursultan assured that there was unanimous rejection of Cuba’s inclusion in what he considered “arbitrary and spurious” list of countries sponsoring terrorism drawn up every year by the State Department.
He also stressed his historic support in the struggle for the elimination of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the North American nation on Cuba for 60 years.
