In a video message published this Wednesday to mark the Police Officer Day in Russia, the president drew attention to the need to improve the efficiency of the work and the approaches in the fight against these scourges.

The systematic work done by these officers should be aimed at protecting the public order, increasing the protection of citizens against illegal actions and improving road safety, he said.

Putin stressed that preventing crime among young people and minors is another priority of his work.
