Local authorities decided to minimize conferences and meetings of any kind, called on all sectors to organize video-linked meetings instead and banned the departure of participants in forums that require face-to-face attendance.

Individuals from provinces with a high risk of infection will not be allowed to enter the city and the health of the workers of the fast delivery service will be checked.

The municipal government described the situation in Beijing as complex and urged to immediately cut the chain of transmission of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus (which causes Covid-19), because four of those infected are workers of the PetroChina Co oil company and were at a conference.

The confirmation of the cases led to massive PCR testing both at the places of residence of the sick and among the staff of the state-owned company.

China is still under the scourge of a new wave of Covid-19 that has left a thousand ill since mid-October in 19 provinces with a high incidence among schoolchildren.

For weeks, the country has been experiencing limitations to mobility, confinement to entire cities and an increase in vaccination.
