On Twitter, the president recalled that, thanks to the control of the Covid-19 pandemic, the country is relaxing measures and will reopen its borders for international travelers on November 15.
He also stressed that this month, after the end of the vaccination process against the disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus, students are returning to onsite classes.
Furthermore, Havana will celebrate the 502nd anniversary of its foundation with a varied program of artistic activities and the reopening of cultural venues.
“National life will be resumed with the greatest joy and alertness. No one is going to spoil our fun!,” the president tweeted.
In another tweet, Diaz-Canel ratified that the aggressive US policy against his country has been doomed to fail for over 60 years.
“The obstinate desire to see the end of the Revolution founded by Historic Leader Fidel Castro will never come true. Wake up from that dream. It is not going to happen,” he said.
