Cuban president evokes Angola’s Independence Day

Havana, Nov 11 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel on Thursday evoked the 46th anniversary of the proclamation of Angola's independence, in which the support of Cuban troops was decisive.

In his official Twitter account, the president recalled a phrase in this regard said by the historic leader of the Revolution, Fidel Castro, which highlights the contribution of the Cuban forces.

“The empire could not achieve its purposes of dismembering Angola and scamming its independence. It was prevented by the heroic and long struggle of the peoples of Angola and Cuba,” he stressed.
