The uniformed men blocked the passage of five vehicles and blocked their entrance to the city of Qamishli in the extreme northeast of Hasakeh, reported the national agency SANA.

It added that the caravan had to retreat at the insistence of the Syrian military at one of the checkpoints to block its path.

Similar incidents are very frequent in that territory, the last one occurred on October 25, when soldiers and residents confronted two convoys from the United States.

The Pentagon sent troops to Syria without the authorization of its Government or the United Nations under the pretext of fighting terrorism, however, they are currently concentrated around the oil fields.

The government of Damascus repeatedly denounced the illegal presence of US troops, which it described as occupation, and assured that their actions encourage terrorist activity and aim to destabilize the country and plunder its wealth.
