Cuba succeeded in controlling pandemic, says President Díaz-canel

Havana, Nov 12 (Prensa Latina) Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel on Friday assured that his country has succeeded in controlling the Covid-19 pandemic, but challenge remains of living with it and moving on protocols of action in the so-called new normalcy stage.

President Díaz-Canel compared the incidence of the disease with international cases reported, showing greater control in Cuba compared to the region and the rest of the world.

“Despite all problems we have been facing up, the US-caused slackening, if we had not faced Covid-19 with our own vaccines, we could have faced a lethality two or three times higher than the current one,” the Cuban president stated. ´
