In statements to Prensa Latina, the high-ranking official denounced the call for next November 15 in Cuba and the actions by the White House.

“Our message is to support Cuba, we must unmask and show that it is U.S. imperialism that is behind this campaign,” he said.

The United States, he said, decided to increase its aggression against that nation, with the worst of all strategies, lies and manipulation in social networks.

“Those actions are a vain attempt to promote disunity and confrontation among Cubans, but they forget that for more than 60 years, Cuba has been a beacon that holds the flags of solidarity and humanity, making it an example for the world,” Castillo stressed to this agency.

He recalled that this same strategy has been applied in Venezuela for many years, without obtaining the expected results.

The deputy minister assured on Friday that more than ever, progressive governments, social movements and all those in favor of justice and truth must stand by the Cuban Revolution.
