In a statement to which Prensa Latina News Agency had access, CNUS pointed out how at a time as Cuba has announced its economic and social reopening after being closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the United States has done its best to take on and pay people to hinder Cuba´s process and prove the country has failed and is prey to chaos and lack of control.

CNUS supports Cuba´s reopening, as all countries are aware of present health crisis triggered by the pandemic and also calls on all Dominicans and sister nations not to be confused by US media-controlled misinformation.

Finally, CNUS called for respect to self-determination of the Cuban people and their right to live in peace and for the end of the inhumane economic, financial and commercial US blockade imposed on Cuba for over 60 years and that heroically suffers for being a free and sovereign country which has only known how to give its solidarity to countries in need.
