Cuba reports 348 new Covid 19 cases, 3 deaths

Havana, Nov 14 (Prensa Latina) The Cuban Public Health Ministry (Minsap) reported on Sunday the death of three people due to Covid-19 and 348 new positive cases in the past 24 hours.

According to its report, the country has accumulated 958,738 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus since March 2020 and 8,282 fatalities.

With this figure, the country’s lethality stands at 0.86 percent, compared to 2.02 percent in the world and 2.44 percent in the Americas.

So far, 6,714 people have been admitted to health centers, of whom 4,744 are suspect of being ill, 220 are under epidemiological surveillance and 1,750 are active patients.

Of the latter, 1,700 have a stable clinical evolution, while 19 are critical and 31 are seriously ill. The day before, 396 new medical discharges were granted, bringing the total number of recovered patients to 948,649; this means 98.9 percent of all those diagnosed, explained MinSap.

For the detection of the virus, 19,978 samples were analyzed in the last 24 hours, for a total of 10,797,376 tests applied nationwide since last year.
