This Sunday, Goyal opened the 40th edition of the Indian trade fair at one of the country’s largest convention centers in the capital’s Pragati Maidan complex, All India Radio reported.
Goyal assured that the meeting will exhibit exports, infrastructure, demand and diversity of the Indian economy, which this year attracted more than 3,000 small and large companies.
The fair will continue until November 27 with the presence of more than 1,500 Indian and foreign exhibitors.
A total of nine countries, including Bangladesh, Bahrain, Ghana, Kyrgyzstan, Tunisia, Turkey, Sri Lanka and the United Arab Emirates, are participating in the event.
This annual fair was not held last year due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic and this time its main topic is “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” (Self-Reliant India).
The first five days of the event are reserved exclusively for business and from November 19-27 it will be open to the general public.
