Under the conditions of Covid-19, the Cuban Embassy in Angola and the Caribbean nation’s firm ANTEX assumed here the dissemination of the initiative promoted from Havana, with the purpose of expanding trade and investments, official Yandri Peña told Prensa Latina.

Peña, who is the third secretary of the Embassy, distinguished among the guests the Angolan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Ministry of Commerce, the private investment and export promotion agency, the association of modern trade and distribution companies and managers from more than 30 companies.

The Cuban Ministry for Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment (MINCEX) will conduct the event, whose online format will facilitate the exchange, which will include the new economic sectors on the island, among them the small and medium-sized private enterprises.

The event will provide information on the transformations of the Cuban economy, its main export lines and incentives for foreign investment in sectors of high interest such as biopharmaceuticals, tourism and agricultural food, the official said.
