It said that western countries are taking advantage of the difficult situation in Cuba, caused by Washington’s blockade and Covid-19, by convening a supposedly peaceful demonstration against the Cuban government with the support of internal operators.
It warned that the main instruments to coordinate these actions in different cities in the country are social media and the US agencies that finance them.
It denounced that it is well-known that similar actions were carried out to destabilize Belarus in 2020.
The statement claimed that the main objectives are trying to dismantle the country’s sociopolitical system and affect the implementation of measures taken by Havana to gradually return to normalcy, including the reopening of its borders to tourism.
Belarusian communists denounced that, during more than one and a half year of pandemic, Washington and its allies have tried to bring about a serious shortage of goods and economic hardships in the country.
To do so, they imposed new sanctions, political measures and tightened the economic, commercial and financial blockade, which has been in force for almost 60 years, the statement explained.
It highlighted that, despite all hardships caused from abroad, over 90 percent of Cubans have already been immunized with their own vaccines, which have shown good and effective results.
