On his official Twitter account, the Cuban leader recalled the words of the Latin American head of State, expressed the day before in his usual morning press conference.

“Lopez Obrador on Cuba: No one has the right to suffocate a people, that is vile, despicable,” Diaz-Canel stressed.

The Mexican president reiterated his rejection of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States for almost six decades, which is considered the main obstacle to Cuba’s development.

When asked by a journalist, he reaffirmed his position condemning Washington’s aggressive policy, as well as his defense of the independence and sovereignty of the countries.
