Cuba reports 246 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths

Havana, Nov 17 (Prensa Latina) Cuba reported 246 new Covid-19 cases, totaling 959,553 patients since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020, the Ministry of Public Health (MINSAP) confirmed on Wednesday.

In its daily report, the MINSAP mourned the death of two people due to complications from the disease in the past 24 hours, so the country’s death toll rose to 8,286, with a 0.86-percent lethality.

It added that 18,187 new samples were processed for the epidemiological control, totaling 10,849,865.

On its website, MINSAP reported 36 patients under 20; 64 from 20 to 39 years of age; 83 aged from 40 to 59 and 63 aged over 60.

One of the infected people came from abroad, and authorities are working to detect the source of contagion of eight patients.
