On Twitter, Bruno Rodríguez praised UNESCO´s efforts and dynamic work in championing and promoting Cuba’s values and achievements for education, science, culture, information and communication sectors.

UNESCO´s Cuban National Commission is an inter-agency entity attached to Cuba´s Foreign Ministry (MINREX), which acts as advisory body to the Cuban Government in relations to UN Office for Education, Science and Culture.

On Tuesday, Bruno Rodríguez supported those messages of congratulations for the 75th anniversary of UNESCO´s foundation.

Cuba joins celebrations for UNESCO´s anniversary, fully identified with its values and objectives, palpable in the broad and deep program of social, cultural, educational and science transformations promoted by the Cuban Revolution, the foreign minister posted on Twitter.

Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, on the other hand, praised UNESCO’s work and ratified his country’s deep commitment to it.

“The world really needs moral and intellectual authority of UNESCO to build the new world order we need, based on international cooperation, without blockades or unilateral sanctions against southern nations,” the Cuban president tweeted.
