Pakistani businessmen interested in ties with Cuba

Islamabad, nov 18 (Prensa Latina) President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Pakistan, Ahmad Lone, highlighted today the interest of Pakistani businessmen to establish ties with Cuba in agriculture, steel industry and manufacture development.

When exchanging with Cuban ambassador in Islamabad, Zéner Caro, Lone and his delegation expressed interest in participating in the 2nd Cuba 2021 Business Forum, which will take place on-line from next 29, a diplomatic source indicated.

The Gujranwala Chamber of Commerce and Industry represents more than 21,000 businessmen from Islamabad, which, along with Sialkot and Gujrat, makes up the so-called Golden Triangle of the Punjab province, in reference to its industrial development and export capacity.

Industries in this Pakistani city employ more than 600,000 people, while its Gross Domestic Product represents about 5 percent of that of Pakistan´s.
