The Israeli Prison Service (IPS) authorities place criminals with us to cause us discomfort, said Jarrar who is also member of the Political Bureau of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) in an interview granted to Quds Press.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, the IPS took advantage of the outbreak to cancel visits for more than nine months, the 58-year-old leader criticized.
Jarrar said they also deliberately restrict the rights of female inmates by placing surveillance cameras in the outer courtyard of Al Fora prison to limit their privacy.
“The amount of air that enters the cells is limited and the showers are outside so when we are punished we spend days without bathing,” she said.
However, she assured that “all attempts by the occupation to silence our voice and intimidate us from speaking out about the crimes against our people” will fail.
About her personal experience she recalled that during her last arrest his daughter died and in the previous one her father.
