Ms. Schallenberg announced that Austrian citizens will have to assume the new 20-day lockdown, and criticized those who refuse to get vaccinated in Austria, where just 65% of inhabitants has been fully immunized.

The head of government condemned the actions of political forces opposing domestic vaccination, such as the far-right Freedom Party, and described such position as an attack on health system with serious consequences, since only in the last seven days there were nearly thousand cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

The new regulations set down that wearing face masks will be mandatory in all indoor places. Local authority announced shutdown in restaurants, gyms and all leisure spots as well as stores, except for malls, supermarkets and pharmacies.
