On Twitter, Maduro expressed that children are inspiration for a future of stability, development and social welfare.

“World Children’s Day, an occasion to highlight efforts we make to guarantee paramount rights of the Nation; they are our inspiration,” Maduro tweeted.

World Children’s Day is celebrated every November 20, date on which the UN General Assembly (UNGA) passed the 1959 Declaration of the Rights of the Child.

The declaration, which was not legally binding, was not sufficient to protect children’s rights.
