The campaign states despite being exposed to a blockade for more than 60 years, condemned by the United Nations as a crime against humanity, Cuba continues to survive and fight.

It is known that in the past, methods such as actual invasion attempts, bomb and chemical attacks were also used, and today the US blockade continues to target the independence, sovereignty and other achievements of the Cuban people, the appeal states.

By condemning the Cuban people to poverty and hunger, U.S. imperialism is forcing them to renounce their independence and the achievements made as a result of a great struggle, and the socialist system, the Cuba-Turkey Friendship Association points out.

The statement also adds that the Cuban people, far from succumbing to these attacks, continued to fight with determination and launched five separate vaccine candidates against Covid-19.

It also initiated vaccination activities by obtaining approval for two of these vaccines, Abdala and Soberana 02.

Today, Cuba is one of the countries with the highest population vaccination rate and has the honor of being the first in the world to include minors with a national immunogen.
