Cuba defends commitment to non-violence against women and girls

Havana, Nov 25 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez on Thursday ratified his country's commitment opposing violence against women (VAW) and girls, an issue he really considered as Cuba´s top priority.

Ahead of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Bruno Rodríguez pointed out Cuba urges for eliminating VAW and full equality.

Women´s empowerment and their involvement in social tasks are one of the Cuban Revolution´s top priorities.

Establishing study programs for women´s training as well as job openings and the foundation of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC) are some examples of the political will to endorse their rights.
