Diaz-Canel called to work regardless of the complex situation that Cuba is going through due to the harassment by the United States government, and assured, “I believe it is the best way to pay tribute to Fidel and to remember him,” as November 25 marks the fifth anniversary of his physical departure.

The head of State expressed these considerations during a meeting with residents of the 43rd district of the people’s council in Playa, western Matanzas province, where more than 2,000 residents receive differentiated care as part of comprehensive community support.

“Working as you are doing, avoiding accumulated problems for so long, compensating and improving by virtue of the possibilities, we have and move forward without stopping,” he said.

He insisted on people’s participation in solving problems, with their work and control, so that resources can be used in an appropriate way, in addition to resuscitating with quality to improve the well-being and quality of life of the population.
