Raisi made this remarks during a meeting with Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal al-Mekdad, who is visiting Iran.

The illegal presence of foreign forces in the region and on Syrian soil is detrimental to the security and stability of West Asia, the head of State said.

Raisi emphasized the need to respect the territorial integrity of the neighboring country and condemned those who pretend not to see the attacks on Syrian national sovereignty and no other worthy State will tolerate it.

In turn, the visitor assured that Syria is determined to strengthen relations with Tehran and will never forget the Iranian support.
