In his official account on the social network Twitter, the president highlighted how the Caribbean nation and the Union call for strengthening cooperation.
The day before, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister Ricardo Cabrisas and the head of Integration and Macroeconomics of the EEC Council, Serguei Glaziev, signed an action plan for collaboration in this capital.
The agreement establishes 34 actions in areas such as commercial economy, banking-finance, technical regulation, health, pharmaceutical industry, biotechnology, tourism, agro-industry and business links, to be implemented in the period 2021-2025.
The Commission’s delegation will have several days of work in Cuba, during which it will exchange with the Ministers of Tourism, Public Health, Foreign Affairs and Economy and Planning, among others.
It will also visit sites of interest, such as biotechnology development centers. pgh/abo/gas/cgc
