Iran reiterates demand for return to nuclear deal sealed in 2015

Iran reiterates demand for return to nuclear deal sealed in 2015
Tehran, Dec 14 (Prensa Latina) Iran on Tuesday reiterated that it will only accept the return to the original Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal during the talks in Vienna, Austria, to revive it.

Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian emphasized that any good agreement must include the compliance with what was agreed in 2015 between Tehran and the 5+1 group (the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Russia and China plus Germany).

Only then, the minister added, Iran’s peaceful nuclear program will return to the original multilateral treaty.

Amir Abdollahian stated that Tehran is ready to reach agreements favorable to this nation’s interests with the elimination of the US anti-Iranian sanctions.

Honoring what was signed in the JCPOA in 2015 will also completely end the West’s concerns about Iran’s alleged intention to produce nuclear bombs.

Iran and the remaining signatories to the nuclear deal resumed talks on November 29 after a five-month hiatus to seek a formula so that the United States can return to the pact.
