India and Vietnam to expand ICT cooperation

New Delhi, Dec 16 (Prensa Latina) India and Vietnam on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding to scale up Information and Communication Technologies (ICT).

Both sides intend to foster active cooperation among private entities, governments, institutions deeply involved in enhancing the two nations´ capacity to ICTs, the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) said.

Nguyen Manh Hung, Vietnam’s Information and Communications Minister, paid a visit to the Indian Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology on Thursday to meet with Minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar.

During the meeting, Mr. Chandrasekhar said India has lately reached some rapid digitization efforts in last 19 months to overcome all challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Both ministers agreed there are great chances to explore further two-way cooperation and stressed about similarities of digital transformation in the two countries, which can further enhance cooperation and digital trade between the two nations.
