Angolan, Ethiopian presidents meet in Luanda

Luanda, Dec 17 (Prensa Latina) Angola's President João Lourenço and his Ethiopian counterpart Sahle-Work Zewde, on Friday held a private meeting at the Upper City Palace, in Luanda.

At the end of the meeting, which lasted about an hour, no statements were made to journalists.

According to ANGOP press agency, the heads of State discussed strategic, peace and security issues, within the framework of the common interest of both African Governments.

The Ethiopian president arrived in Luanda on Thursday evening on a brief working visit that will end this Friday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) reported.

Zewde was received at the 4 de Febrero International Airport by Angolan Foreign Minister Tete Antonio, Luanda province governor Ana Paula de Carvalho, the director of the Africa and Middle East Directorate at MIREX, Miguel Domingos Bembe, and Angolan Ambassador to Ethiopia Francisco Jose da Cruz.
