The debacle of the extreme right in Chile, the representative of the entire left wins by a wide margin, long live Boric, the new president, wrote on Twitter Mélenchon, top figure of La France Insoumise.

For his part, the national secretary of the Communist Party highlighted on the same social network the victory of the Chilean people, which he considered, recovers its destiny.

Bravo to the communists, trade unionists and progressive forces, Roussel stressed.

For the French journalist José Fort, a wind of hope is blowing in Latin America, with the recent electoral triumphs of the left in Peru, Honduras and Chile, in the latter case to frustrate “the return of nostalgics of the dictatorship”.

The former correspondent in Havana of the newspaper L’Humanité affirmed that a progressive and democratic process is sweeping the region, together with Bolivia, Venezuela, Mexico, Cuba, Argentina and other countries, although he called not to underestimate the capacity to cause harm of the reactionary and fascist forces supported by the United States, “yesterday by Trump and today by Biden”.
