Presidential Advisor Salvador Vanegas mentioned that some of the cities that will benefit from these projects are San Marcos, Larreynaga, El Sauce, San Miguelito, Acoyopa, Nueva Guinera, Bilwi, Waspam, Prinzapolka and Bluefields, as part of priority programs of the government of the Sandinista National Liberation Front (FSLN, in Spanish).
According to this official, the administrative staff of the ministry is organizing the delivery of school packages and the required training material for the next school year and recalled that 80 percent of students attended schools every day during the recently completed school year.
He added that over 90 percent of students attended schools and the approval levels exceeded 96.8 percent, the best figures in the Central American region, and said that there was progress in art and culture.
Vanegas announced that, for 2022, some 1,776,000 students will enroll in all modalities of basic and secondary education and assessed the promotion of comprehensive projects and initiatives by the ministry such as television lessons and chess and English learning.
He also said that the investment for the next school year will include proposals regarding technologies, educational research, good practices, teacher’s training, promotion of artistic talent, inclusion and gender topics, among others
