The minister highlighted the strengthening of the Bolivarian National Police (PNB, in Spanish) and other agencies with the graduation of 9,000 new agents from the Experimental Security University (UNES in Spanish), with about 60,000 students across the nation.
Ceballos ratified the commitment to strengthen training processes and the PNB’s logistic platform for the police corps to achieve excellence.
At a graduation ceremony held at the UNES headquarters in Caracas, Ceballos, also vice president for Civil Security and Peace, reported that authorities will emphasize the increase in operational capacity next year.
In this regard, he stressed the importance of strengthening the work of the more than 2,400 Quadrants of Peace, demarcated physical spaces in areas of high crime occurrence, where police corps work along with the different forms of popular organization to fight crime.
