The official noted that in the Verkhovna Rada (Ukraine’s unicameral parliament), Prime Minister Denis Shmygal announced an increase in the military budget for next year by almost $12 billion.
“That’s $12 billion for a war with their citizens, the same ones they talk so much about and only think about when they sign military budgets. Ukraine’s military budget increased 20 percent – what kind of peace?” she warned.
Zakharova warned that the situation on the contact line in Donbass continues to degrade according to data of the Special Monitoring Mission of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe.
That mechanism reported that over the past two weeks it counted about seven thousand ceasefire violations, five times more than in December last year.
