In the large installation, the statues of Baby Jesus, Virgin Mary and Saint Joseph are almost 2.5 meters long and six-to-seven meters high, according to authorities, who also admitted the merits by artist Rolando Rocha, the piece’s sculptor, along with another six colleagues.

Many visitors watch the new piece, which features the essence of Nativity with a family united by love, and people take selfies in the huge size sculpture, group photos and look like human scale models.

To make the manger they used a mixed technique based on expanded polypropylene and polystyrene, polystyrene foam, fiberglassand polyester resin with a final touch of nitrocellulose paint.

The figures are dressed in typical Andean costumes, which cause more empathy with spectators.

Rocha said that the installation is aimed at gathering families around the Nativity symbol.

According to Oruro Mayor Adhemar Wilcarani, the scene will be shown in other sites of the nation.
