According to the digital medium Jit, the Sports Institute news agency, volleyball and baseball are the most represented disciplines with 38 and 37 signings respectively.

Behind those are basketball with 12 agreements signed this season followed by softball (11), handball and soccer (10), water polo (6) and cycling (1).

The text specifies that the group of athletes is made up of 84 men and 41 women, while 25 are the countries that host Cuban athletes, with a highlight for Mexico with 20, Italy (16), Spain (15), France (13) and Portugal (eight).

The note clarifies that for different reasons, among which the damages caused by Covid-19 and indiscipline stand out, 10 of those contracts were not closed and even so, the figure exceeds what was achieved in 2020 when 78 signings were reached.

The purpose of hiring athletes abroad is to increase their technical and tactical quality, as well as to promote high-level blanks.
