Akhund received Emirati Chairman of the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security, Ali Mohammad bin Hammad Al Shamsi, who said his country is ready to invest in the dry ports of Helmand and Kandahar.
According to the spokesman for the political office of the Islamic Emirate (Taliban government), Mohammad Naeem, the UAE also wants to invest in solar energy and railway systems in Afghanistan.
On Tuesday, Afghanistan’s acting Foreign Minister, Amir Khan Muttaqi, met in Kabul with members of the UAE delegation to exchange views on investment projects in various sectors, including economy, education, technical development and agriculture.
