Russia, Turkey reaffirm interest in continuing joint cooperation

Moscow, Jan 2 (Prensa Latina) Russian President Vladimir Putin and his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Sunday had a phone talk to debate on the cooperation between the two countries, as well as on outlooks to strengthen bilateral exchange.

Both leaders exchanged New Year’s Eve greetings and “reaffirmed their willingness to go on strengthening mutually beneficial relation between Russia and Turkey,” the Kremlin reported.

Also, Putin and Erdogan discussed proposals for long-term legal agreements presented by Moscow to the United States and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) in order to guarantee Russia’s security, situation in the South Caucasus and presence in Syria and Libya.
