Speaking at a teleconference between the central and local governments, the leader highlighted that in 2021, the national economy grew 2.58 percent and, among other achievements, he mentioned the increase in both exports (19 percent) and the flow of foreign investment (9.2).
Regarding the tasks to be accomplished in 2022, he called to ensure the good performance of macroeconomic indicators and to continue improving the business climate in order to ensure the sustainable development of the nation, but always having the human being at the center.
In this regard, he stressed that in addition to continuing implementing social programs, we must be very attentive to the prevention and control of Covid-19, as part of the strategy of safe and flexible adaptation of the economy in the face of the pandemic, with the vaccination campaign as a priority.
Phu Trong also highlighted the prevailing atmosphere of security and order in Vietnam and the actions taken in the international arena as a contribution to keeping peace, cooperation and world progress.
